Our Work: Art during COVID
In this time of crisis and isolation, the role of art becomes more central to our lives, whether we realise it or not. We can easily take for granted the grand buffet of media that is available to us – the lack of curation on the internet frustrates people like me who value culture and its contribution and equally.
People For Action organises A pandemic- related Art competition amongst its Underprivileged Schools Where we help capture the young mind and their expression of COVID .. wonderful response- a pool of talent I must say amazes me.
So what of the arts in isolation? It might be too early to write that book and paint that picture that captures the buzz of anxiety we all feel.
A motto or brief message, printed on a separate piece of paper in English, accompanied each picture. Aim: Encourage the talent and way of thinking of children and teenagers towards survival, friendship and solidarity.
